    Big thanks again to

All those who run the competitions and match day threads (CB, Orgs and Andy).

Special mention to MT too for her posts which typically are well researched, often offer something from a different perspective and bring youthful zest and energy to the forum.

The rest of you are alright too 😎

    Thank you H.
Not just one, but a whole Mad team effort emphasizes just how important collaboration & shared responsibility can do in achieving a common goal of how to run a successful forum.
Thanks to Andy & Mrs Wortley too. 👍

    ORGS
Dunno what your playing stats this season were Org with your gloves on between the actual sticks but hope you had a good-un !

Another playing season to come or back to the whistle and flag waving ?
If the latter then enjoy the Viz cartoon take on officiating - below.😂

Whatever your season thank you for doing the comp & finding time to do it, really enjoyed it.
Its a great advert too for smaller league football clubs as they are lifelines for community cohesion, identity & pride, also acting as a unifying force into helping to foster local businesses in these tough times.

So a big sincere personal thanks from me wishing to highlight the positive contribution you volunteer to make on my mental health via your effort, much appreciated. 👏

    CALVO
Thank you Calvo for providing the weekly fun throughout the season, yet again.

You can now enjoy that Preston nightlife, sipping on those fancy delicious cocktail drinks while dancing the night away to the hottest beats during the summer break & show your grandson some decent moves on the dancefloor too ! 👍

One of life's simple pleasures. Just a fun diversion and I do agree with HOP on the quality of MT's thoughts. Above my pay grade at times but I enjoy it.

I don't dread the off season as much as the international football weekends but it's a tough time. The endless interweb rumors torment after a while and Leeds seems to get more than their share of them.

I'm going to try to post some off season threads this summer to relieve the boredom. My first will be the best. The best individual horse race ever. Not sure if we are allowed to post links to youtube videos. Hope so.

Thanks Orgoner and Calverley boy who run the competitions. I dont play the Leeds prediction league because I am superstitious but take a look regularly to see how optimistic or pessimistic people are about Leeds chances on the game. Thanks to Belfast Andy for matchday thread and Monaco for providing me with historical perspective on the clubs and the region/city/town from which they originate.

    I concur.
Cal boys calendar may need updating and Andrew's cut and paste skills have come on a treat. 😆

    Thanks for the kind words.

I must admit that I do the competition as much for my own benefit as it makes me at least peer at other leagues to see what's going on.

We have very good coverage of the Premier League and the Championship on the idiot box here, but my lower league predictions tend to be random guesses after a cursory glance at the most recent form tables or vague memories of seeing the teams back in the day. I suspect I may not be alone in this strategy!

In terms of playing, I'm still officially in the squad for this season, but am hoping that's about as far as it goes (we now have a far better and younger goalkeeper) as I've had far too many concussions and would do better to watch or referee instead of playing.

It's been entertaining to see my squad number slowly rise over time: I'm now 20.
