Where?s the team that won the cup?

Where?s the team that beat Arsenal twice home and away in the semi final? We need to win tomorrow, we really need to win tomorrow. How many matches did Chelsea and Villa play extra in Europe this season, we fell apart the last time we got Europe? We need that team to show up and win tomorrow.

    Well...they might turn up tomorrow,

It's obviously hard to shake the pessimism that's been built up over decades surrounding our club because I've seen lots of folk on various social media worrying about tomorrow's game.

None of us...well, apart from Raga ...were particularly optimistic about the final but look what happened. Granted, Joelinton not playing and Palmer hitting form are, as we all know, two siginificant factors but we've shown we can turn up for big games. Personally, I think we're better than Chelsea but, there is that nagging doubt about which Newcastle will turn up tomorrow.

We won't have to wait long to find out.

Have any of you seen Watchmen?

That gruesome scene we Rorschach throws boiling oil over the guys face?

Not for the faith hearted! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_3Yp2Izhks

"None of you seem to understand... I'm not locked in here with you... You're locked in here with me!"

Chelsea are not going to be coming to the Toon with confidence because the scrapped a win against Liverpool's B team. They're gonna be scared and stressed. They lose this, they have to go to Forest and get something.

I get it. Always the brides maid never the bride. That ain't us anymore.

Those days of losing finals, have to rely on Shearer because the rest of the team are bang average is long gone.

Match winner - Isak, Barnes, Murphy (I know last 2 matches meh but he's 2nd to Salah in that position better than 'WORLD CLASS' Saka), Gordon, Bruno, Tonali.

We have 6 players who can win us the game.

Chelsea played 3 days ago on Thursday night. We've had 7 days rest and training specifically for this match.

What the hell is there to be afraid of?

I guarantee they are more afraid of us than we are of them

Get doon the toon early, get a few pints in ya and Howay man sing ya hearts oot for the lads!

We've won 20 games out of the last 26.

The team that won the Cup final is the team that are currently 4th, 1 point behind last seasons champions City. The win against Chelsea take us above them and into 3rd.

    Am I missing something?

We've lost once at Villa since the cup match... I honestly don't get it?

Also we have the second highest number of wins, behind Liverpool and equal to Citeh.

Isak has scored 3 goals in the last 5 games.
    We've won 4 of the last 5
Scored 14 goals in the last 5
Conceded 6 in the last 5 (4 against Villa) - only 2 goals conceded in the other 4

We've got the 2nd highest goal scorer in the league this season
We've got the 2nd highest assist getter in the league this season

Dan Burn has been involved in 12 clean sheets, 4th highest in the league

Chelsea have won 7, lost 6 and drawn 4 on the road. That's poor form for a UCL chancing side.

They're a young team, lacking leadership in most positions.

We need to get at them, put them off their game plan, pile the pressure on early and we'll batter these!

    Joelinton, thats the reason.

,,,which is a worry, if we're so reliant on one player.

It's important not to forget that we actually won this game 2 nil...but that second half raises more questions than it answers.
