John Carver has been shortlisted for manager of the year in Poland's top-flight after saving Lechia Gdansk from almost certain relegation with no money to spend and a young squad!

Carver has won eight matches, drawn one and lost six from his 15 games in charge so far in Poland.

It's not a surprise though as he was the self proclaimed "best coach in the Premier League" 10 years ago remember!

I have no ill will towards John Carver.

Fair play to him for the job he's done over in Poland. Obviously not a top tier manager or coach but a good bloke and a solid Geordie that did the best he could during the Cashley Era.
