Makes a lot of sense. You could tell something was seriously wrong off the pitch and Mowbray did not become a useless manager all of a sudden. The irony was that the one player who kept plugging and putting in decent performances was Karlan Grant, after all the flack he received over the years.

Spot on Calgarybaggie re Mowbray. I liked Grant this season. He has shown he can be a good player.

Thanks for posting the link Soulman. Interesting and very likely near to the real truth.

Not sure have a lot of confidence in Nestor. In fact would go as far as to say I have little if any faith in him.

Grant is a good player he just gets the doesnt score enough goals tag but he contributes a lot to those who do score. Watching La Liga its interesting that their top scorers are around 16 goals, a lot are around 8-10. In a league with the likes of Mbappe, and Bellingham it shows how goals are shared more these days. I really dont expect a 20 goal a season player any more. Not at this club anyway. The game has changed. Take the role of full back for example. Its not the right term anymore.

However it's dressed up and no matter which tangent we look at it from ultimately Tony Mowbray failed to manage the resources he had at his disposal. Dismally. If the players were pushing their luck he should have acted like a manager and managed them accordingly. The End.

Interesting, but not surprising to me to hear that Bartley may well have been instrumental in the evident lack of discipline and commitment amongst many of the players.
All water under the bridge now, but essential that the new man re-installs the discipline and engenders team spirit. Watching some of the play-offs so far, it is clear that we were lacking in both of the aforementioned attributes, and playing ability !
Still, we are looking forward to next season COYB
