I think if the crowd had managed to get him out of the car before the bizzies got there, he'd be described as dead as well.

It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek Alfie. A little 'un had to be lifted out from under the car by the fire brigade and he is reported to be in "critical" condition.

A bigger question for now is why the pfhuck did Merseyside Police not properly cordon off the whole area to prevent whack jobs from doing this sort of $hit?

Current theory is some kind of road rage/head loss from someone who somehow got stuck amongst the crowd and wanted to get out.

A 53-year-old man suspected of driving a car into a crowd of Liverpool FC fans during a victory parade was allegedly high on drugs at the time. At a press conference at Merseyside Police HQ, Det Chief Supt Karen Jaundrill said the man, from West Derby, had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs."
