Please excuse this new Jim Goodwin thread; I could not add to the one titled " Goodwin out"
.
I would like to congratulate Jim Goodwin, his staff, and the players for achieving 4th place in the league. This is a remarkable achievement after all the upheaval of relegation, cost-cutting, and rebuilding the team. jim must be delighted that United have finished above dons and St Mirren. Also we have the continuity of the position of manager, this should not be underestimated, you only have to look at Killie, Dee, Rangers, and Motherwell.
We look forward to next season, and eagerly await the arrival of new players. Also looking forward to another European away day, which hopefully will banish the embarrasment at Alkmaar.

We know that the earliest sign of a poor run and he'll get the usual calls for he's earned time to turn any run around
Definitely in Goodwin we trust.
He?s done a fantastic job
McGlynn in at no 2 now after falkirks promotion
I know he has his detractors but you really can't deny his record. Least season was an amazing achievement for a newly promoted side and (even though I'm increasingly becoming an old curmudgeon) I'm excited to see what the next one brings. Big well done to Jim and his team.
Goodwin has done well. Needs to employ a strikers coach imo. We are well served with coaches for the other positions. He has worked wonders in getting the wages down. Hope we never ever go down the road of offering daft money again to a player like we did with Watt.
Any truth in the rumour that Scott Banks could be coming back?
