    Lovely bit of kit

Bit pricey, but a beaut of a kit. Now only if they did remakes of the away kits from say 90-96...

Charlie's, looking happy, it's good to see him again. I know we all remember that goal, but does anyone remember, Peter Reid with grey hair, repelling wave after wave of attacks from the red menace? Maybe he could have a day as well.

Like most things pre year 2000, it has largely been airbrushed out of history, but I have found proof it was real.

County, organised and inspired by the irrepressible Peter Reid, gained their first scalp in this particular derby since 1982, and deservedly. The winner came four minutes from the end, a minute after Forest had equalised.

Reid appeared to relish every second of it. County are paying him week by week as he waits for another management opportunity to come along, but he looked as committed to the cause as any of the impassioned young men around him. At 37, his legs may be registering a protest now but his enthusiasm is undimmed.

Very fine shirt. I'd certainly buy, but as usual seems to have sold out!

I liked the yellow highlights and love the nostalgia for HOME BITTER, which takes me back even further to the halcyon days of my yoof, when Nottingham had three breweries* and people still used to drink local "beer" not lager from all over the world.

    *For perplexed yunguns out there:
In prehistoric times - when we were all scared shtless by woolly mammoths and sabre tooth tigers - we used to make things in quaint weird rituals known as "manufacturing".

I'd actually forgotten Peter Reid played for us. If he HADN'T played against us in 1984 we might have doubled our major trophy haul, he was that good in the QF.

Yes, it's always good to see Charlie and an excellent choice to model the kits.

When he signed for us it was notable how much he spoke about his time at previous clubs. He was a player that really cared and that's the way it played out with us. As well as the commitment, he was actually really really good - never let us down, one of our best ever signings.
