Poll: should we move to a new board?

Getting worn out with all the downtime. I have one ready(ish) to go and I know there will be teething problems, not to mention the possibility of unwanted incursions, but I?ll have more control over the back office rather than relying on a third party. What do you think?

I?ll leave this here for a week or so.

If anyone wants a sneaky peek drop me a PM.

I think its a "wait" from me. Not confident griff has the IT skills (teething problems?) or knowledge of the laws (data protection, online safety) to go it alone just yet. A new forum is badly needed but need to get it right so it doesnt get closed down before it gets going. Maybe if you asked for some help from Mullen who works with IT?

The board is already made. The teething problems I referred to were more to do with people, not the IT. GDPR and the OSA will be dealt with but I can?t see a board as quiet as that one would be attracting the attention of officialdom ?before it gets going?, unless someone complained. Unless you know differently?

No I am not to good at IT so I wouldnt know exactly how this website works with taking away cookies. But I do know something about data protection and that I have the right to withdraw my consent. I am guessing griff is ignorant of the law here as dont think he would go against it on purpose. So my advice to read up on it and ofcourse online safety bill still stands as anyone wanting to run their own forum needs to know these laws to look after themselves as much as anything

Looks like we have cross posted. I have not made complains to any officials. It is just wise to make sure you knpw all the laws so that you can follow them rather than break them

I’ve withdrawn your consent on your behalf.

    Hope that helps.
