I am lost for words.Just how unlucky can you get?
That was never a second yellow either. He hardly touched Wirtz who did the theatrics.

Absolutely gutted after a great defensive performance from us. Hannibal you phuckin stupid cnut. Keep your hands behind your back and not lift them up.Hes let the whole side down ,just like Anthony the other week. We deserved a draw and bindippers were very lucky .

He should have stepped outside the box and tried to close the opposite player down. Our luck has to change soon.

Incredibly unlucky. Defencive masterclass until Hannabel turned his back.
A young woman said to her dad on the way back to the car that Hannabel should not be on the pitch in these type of games, has he is a lose cannon, and I have got to agree with her

It was the same at OT the other week. That is now 2 pts thrown away

I didn’t see the match. Hard not to think, with a sending off and a penalty, just another case of we can’t let Man Ewe and Liverpool lose. Anything to avoid that.

Just seen the highlights on TV.

It was bloody amateurish and unprofessional from Hannibal.

What the hell was he thinking of turning his back, jumping up and sticking his elbow out?.

Until he grows up and matures he doesn't play in any game where its backs to the wall stuff like today as he is a ***in liability

Anyone who has the temerity to moan about our players today just knows nothing about football. The lads who played today against the current League Champions were brilliant, totally committed and were very unlucky to lose.

Telling for me was the fact that the Liverpool fans were as quiet as church mice throughout the first 93 minutes until Michael Oliver (who else?) gave the Anfield outfit a very soft penalty.

Esteve & Ekdal were immense, Oliver reduced us to ten men for exactly the same misdemeanour a Liverpool player escaped with. Just my opinion (of course) but the EPL and PGMOL hate Burnley Football Club with a vengeance and it shows.

A strong word of praise for Scott Parker post match who refused to blame Oliver, he's a better man than me Gunga Din!

We were reduced to ten men because Big Les committed a second bookable offence, in fact, the word amongst the refereeing fraternity is that he may well have seen red for his challenge when he received his first caution. Bradley committed the same offence as Big Les's first caution and also received a caution ---that is consistency BT ---fans always want consistency.
The penalty was a penalty in the modern game as much as I don't like the interpretation these days. Sadly it cost us the game and the radio commentators thought that it was a damn shame but had to be given.

I didn't see the game, I was at a big band gig, much more rewarding than watching PL football with VAR involvement these days.
One thing I will say is that Michael Oliver doesn't hate Burnley as many of our fans seem to think.
