Thread: The transfer game.

    The transfer game.

Reading the latest missive today by Paul Davis, which has quotation marks, I can only say it lays bare what lack of plans things are in place.

Since when would 4 out, 4 in strengthen what we have at present? Given many players will just carry on with injuries and not be available, then the 4-4 better be of monumental skill and stamina and be available 247.
    Otherwise nothing will change.

Clearly at this point, to repeat yet again, we don?t have a budget is ridiculous. Better to keep quiet considering the general feeling at the moment.

For the selection trio to chase players, do a deal, for then the casting real vote to say yay or nay is frankly barmy. They may have an idea of a ball park fee, but it actually doesn?t sound like it at all.
    Guidance, leadership, is there any?

I don?t suppose for a second they would want to reveal what they think they may be allowed to spend. But saying these kind of quotes in a half hearted amateurish sounding way, is not serving any real purpose whatsoever. Save perhaps for letting us know the pot is not going to be sufficient. If it is they would have been told by now.

Some of the words spoken, well.

Whatever it is, they better get on with it and hope the wallet, when it returns home has a better idea than they do.

I will add, at this point, that I would not to be in Messers Hamshaw, Douglas and Scott’s shoes. The whole set up is unworkable.

It's like paying Peter to pay Paul! When T Holmes gets sent back along with Sherif we'll be able to get a forward in. Send Etete back another. Your guess is as good as mine how we get another 2 signings in?

I am sure we are all well aware we do have to let players go to bring others in, they say it often enough and demonstrate it.

Nothing wrong in that itself. It is how we work. Summer is better for it, jan is harder. What I think is that we are below bare minimum due to injuries, and unless the ones going out are the ones who stand little chance of being fit at all must then go, but a like for like number based from those who can stay fit, is not strengthening a squad.
A game impact injury to a fit player will leave us with no back up.

In short, the players we cannot keep fit are our problem (and should not have been signed) and the ones we can, mostly are good enough. Not hard to see where the issues are.

Time is now against us, having been made clear we need the chairman here.
