    Yesterdays results

could they have gone much better for us.WBA-Swansea draw,Brighton Huds.draw,Bournemouth-Palace draw and Stoke defeat.
Another 2 points for us should do it but we could be safe already.

we are safe. there's too many teams (some of whom play each other) need to make up points and goal difference, to catch us.

We would have been safe on 36 points in my honest opinion (we'll see if it works out) but now we can actually roll on and enjoy the last few games with a massive smile and relaxed mindset.
The only issue is in looking up and trying to see if we can hold 10th or even sneak a cheeky dip into the top half.

I still want to hit 40 points before i can say to myself - we're safe but it is looking much more likely now.

Interesting to see how Saints do at Arsenal, i had them dead and buried but they've changed manager and be interesting to see if he can get a reaction.

I think W.B.A, Stoke and Huddersfield will go down.

It would be ironic if Southampton stay up and Stoke go down considering Hughes was sacked at Stoke and has been challenged with Southampton's survival attempt and manages it whilst watching his old club sink.

I think Southampton will go. They're playing like drains-one win in 18-and remind me of us when we went down: a collection of good individuals without a collective heart and a team that was less than the sum of its parts.

Had to laugh-some bloke phoned 5Live and suggested to Robbie savage that Hughes would be the first manager to take two clubs down in one season....Savage is Hughes' mate and he was livid.

I still don't think Hughes is as bad as Pardew.

He has a bit more class as a manager and a boundless amount more class as a player then Pardew had.

I can see him scraping Southampton through.
