Sir Tom Finney passed away aged 91.

    re: RIP Sir Tom

As a young lad saw him play for Preston at 'The Boleyn' in about 1958.

My Dad told me how good he was for club and country, playing in any position across the forward line.

I have a signed photo of him on my study wall.

    RIP Sir Tom.

A real class act on and off the field for club and country. A touch before my time, but my old man spoke very highly of him and he didn't do that about many of that era or any other to be fair.

    RIP

    Yes indeed.

A proper footballer. I have a old Preston programme which features him, and also has an advert for his plumbing business which he ran whilst a professional footballer.
