i am usually an optimist but i said to my brother after 20 minutes that I would be happy with a draw. We were 2 nil up but I knew the Preston team were capable of giving us a hard time.
Make no mistake - that result was a great one.
How can that be reight??
Well i said before i"d be happy with a draw, then we go 2 up and your thinking if we draw this now i"ll be not so chuffed, then in the end we grasp another usual late goal and i"m fairly happy.
Strange night of emotions.![]()

On another note i overheard a Miller mention the player we are after is Kris Boyd...its proberbly bollox.

if we hadnt raced into a 2 0 lead we would have been overjoyed at 3 3 :/
a game of highs and lows for both teams and in the end probably the right result
Preston are a very good side (putting the cheating to one side) it was a bit of a surprise when we go 2 up in ten minutes but why did we decide it sit back?
A good point but should have been three,
Nice ground and good support
Was envious when you text me and even more at 2-0 we just don't do 0 score lines but a couple of years ago we wouldn't have gone 2-0 up and would have definatly lost 4-2 so to say how far we have come and how much we have achieved i am happy with a point!
As soon as we scored our 2nd i said to my lad.."we still need another" how many times do you see it, a team goes 2 nil up early on and end up drawing or worse.
I also think its a cracking ground, only down side to it was the unfinished excecutive bowes in their main stand.
I dont think we "decided" to sit back...they were very positive and had us on the back foot. A great point at the end of the day.
They're a really good side from a midfield/forward perspective. Pretty much what we would face week in week out if we went up - certainly from a lower end/mid Championship table perspective.
I did think however we would get back in it as they are clearly low on confidence from a defensive perspective.
Not being too critical but I did think Agard playing out wide was exposed with better opposition - not saying change for the weekend or the short term future.
I also thought that defensive we did well but the midfield protection was lacking. We dont really have the midfield protector --- Smallwood doesnt cut it for me.
Never thought i"d say this but i thought Claude Davis had a good game last night.
Claude gets very little recognition. For me he was outstanding last night. Yes he makes mistakes but that happens at all levels of football.
I really cant see Morgan getting back in the team at present.
Agree and disagree pal.
Yes Claude was fantastic last night, but he does make me worry everytime the ball comes his way, and that shouldn"t be how it is.
You should feel total trust that the defence can cope with anything the attack throws at them...i don"t and never have done since SE"s arrival .
Alternatively with Macca & Swailes i did.
We must make the defence our priority IMO.
