    Alan Simpson & Peter Elliott at NYS Saturday

    I know Elliott but not sure on Simpson, is he an athlete?

    Rotherham Harrier who came 4th in the 1500m Tokyo Olympics. Trained at Herringthorpe.

    Just read up on him, born in Coventry, came to Rotherham and still lives here.
    Track and field events, held a couple of records for 5 yrs before someone else broke them. represented England and GB.
    Sounds like he was a good athlete
