Has Smallwood got a bit of the Harrisons about him? I don't mean that to be disrespectful to either player, but will he be the type of midfielder that does the unseen work that divides opinion?
1) That was a wonderful match to be at. Proper football ground, healthy away following, decent home support, a good atmosphere and two good teams in great form. Another memorable 90 minutes in what has been the best season in ages.
2) For about the first time I can recall this season, we looked a little bit frightened of the opposition. The ecstatic reactions from our players to our goals might just have been the natural response to scoring in a big game, but it also indicated to me that they knew what a big task was ahead of them. And where at Shrewsbury, Stevenage and co we sailed into an early lead and kept playing without feeling like we needed to hold on, we panicked a little last night, got men behind the ball and invited pressure. Of course, if not for a poor piece of defending by Tavernier we may have gone into the break at 0-2 and it might have looked a stroke of genius, but I thought we were overly cautious while we had that 2 goal lead. Sometimes you can go in front too ear

Great post. You should do one for every match
Great post.
Fully agree O'Connor has to start Saturday.
Would also prefer Vuckic or Hitchcock to Thomas.

good post MT, agree with all that, i just thought that they definitely targetted Revs in the 2nd half, and we didn't really go to plan B. We kept playing the diagonals to Revs, he always had 2 players on him, and they gained possession in most cases then to get on the attack.

You missed thought No 6, Never book an appointment in London on a Tuesday night unless the millers are playing Orient or Brentford that night!
