    This seasons Kieran Agard...

The posts I see about "this seasons Kieran Agard" interest me. I assume from this it is about a player coming out from the shadows and really stepping up their game and pushing it up a level.

In my opinion, "this seasons Kieran Agard" has been...

    ...Kieran Agard.

Despite his great run in towards the end of last season, I seriously doubted whether he would be kept on and whether he could make the step up to this league.

However he must have worked incredibly hard over the summer as he has come in this season looking sharper stronger and generally a much more complete player and I now have little doubt that if we make it into the championship he will still be in our team.

Well done Kieran and keep it up.

    Kieran Agard frustrates me.

His first touch is by far the worst I've seen from any player this season. Every second touch of his has to be a tackle. He isn't a winger which often means he is playing a little too central for my liking - How many times have we scored a goal as a result of attacking down the right?

We always attack down the left as we have no width on the right.. this sometimes leaves us a little short of ideas.

YET he has scored a lot of goals this season, and does work very hard. So I'm not criticising him so to speak... Just stating how his first touch frustrates me...

Watch next time you watch him.

Joka good points raised there fits him to a tee but he is such a grafter and like you say he's scored loads of goals. he seems to look a lot fitter/faster so must have really put the effort in... Just glad we didn't cash in on him or any of our players come to think of it...

I personally think that Kieran Agard realized his shortcomings about 18 months ago and worked very hard on each one of them.

I understand your frustration about his first touch but it is becoming much less of an issue. I also believe that his first touch is sometimes deliberate as he passes the ball away from himself to use his pace to run on to it.

I think he and his family should be very proud of the footballer he has become.

All credit to Agard. He is the epitomy of the Evans philosophy. His work rate and tracking back are first class. Add to that his pace, attacking threat & the goals he's scored and the result is a player who has improved no end and been such a key part to this seasons success.

Also think that the opposition haven't got much idea what he is going to do with the ball it gives us that bit of an advantage, he is deceptively quick but I think his finishing is top class and he's only going to get better
