First half was excellent - full of energy and flair. It goes to show with that performance away against the leaders where we should really be. I'm a bit more hopeful for the future after that.

Richie Barker spoke of his Pompey pride after his side picked up a point at league leaders Chesterfield.
The Blues televised fixture at the Proact Stadium finished goalless, yet the hosts could well have taken a win with them on the long journey home.
Jake Jervis hit a post in the first half, while Wes Fogden had an effort saved at point-blank range in the visitors best moments of an entertaining game.
In contrast, the high-flying Spireites struggled to break down a well-marshalled Pompey defence, with keeper Trevor Carson barely challenged.
And Barker was delighted with the display from his side, having been thumped 5-1 at S****horpe in their previous away match.
He said: I am extremely proud. I said some pretty strong words nine days ago and was quite right to do so.
Just as I was disappointed that night, I am equally as proud of them tonight, if not more.
They were some of the best chances we created over the last couple of weeks.

Me too. Now all we need at home is to get the SSU to make some noise![]()
Re Mr Barker.
For all those calling for his head recently and dishing out the bile, he seems to be doing fairly a decent job, slowly but surely.
Our last 8 reads W3 D3 L2 and 9th in the form table, who's top of the form table(?)... Chesterfield
The SSU accept your challenge LDB...
Look forward so much to hearing it then.![]()
Still cannot believe you've got jake jervis as your main striking threat!! Unbelievable how things turn out, still where no better, see you next season chaps NCFC.
What worries me is that we have three important games coming up in a short time span against opponents in another year we would expect to beat easily.
However, they, too, are scrapping for their own aims and objectives for the season, so they will be three very physically demanding games, where the fittest only will emerge with a decent number of points.
My worry is that Pompey - as a squad - are not fit for the full 90 minutes and then reproducing the same good form a few days later.
Dearly would I love us to take 9 points from these three games, but the attitude of the players must be right in their minds as well as their skill and fitness levels being at a high level throughout.
This could be the period that makes or breaks our season. None of the games is a "gimme", but I shall be satisfied if we move towards the back end of March with 7 ex 9 points.
