    Bob Crow - R.I.P

It is with sadness that we learn of the death of RMT General Secretary who suffered a heart attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

He was an outstanding union leader who stood up for workers; their pay and conditions of work and one of a kind in a country where there is so much apathy and lack of protest and demonstrations against the erosion of public services and further privatisation.

He ensured tube workers were well paid unlike their bus couterparts and fought for public safety against the closure of tube station ticket offices in London.

As an anti racist and anti fascist Bob Crow was also a Millwall fan and will be missed by many football supporters for his strengths; sticking to what he believed in and dedication to better public transport and his perseverence in the cause.

This is a very sad day for unions and workers and our condolences go to his family. - view external link
