    2 points or 3 points ?????

Has the game become more entertaining since the 3 point system was introduced. You wouldnt think so under Froggy.

OK there are more goals maybe, but does that mean better entertainment. Ive seen plenty of entertaining draws, and quite a few boring high score games.

Who would like to revert to the old system of 2 or 1 ?

Would hate to see the 2 points for a win system back.

Would maybe even consider teams being awarded 4 points for a win, 2 for a score draw and 1 for a 0-0.

That would soon **** up old school managers like Allardyce.

Revert back to 2 points for a win and the game would be very dull imho.

As a huge baseball fan i get to learn the views of our American friends and they simply do not understand the concept of "A Draw"

    It goes over thier heads.

For the rest of us we can see the value of the well earned draw, be it cricket or football.

There will always be value in the draw. Be it a hard earned 0-0 away to a top top team or coming from 2-0 down to earn that draw.

That being said the main aim should always be about winning.

Making it 4 points for a win and 2 points for a score draw but only 1 for a 0-0 would imo make more teams/managers go for a win.

Managers like Allardyce would soon die out.

Yesterday was a prime example, at 3-1 down with 10 minutes plus stopage time left he chose to protect the goal differance by taking off Carroll and brining on Amero.

We should have just piled forward, 2 up front and gone all out to try and get back in the game. It is hardly unheard of for football teams to score two quick goals.

Norwich yesterday at 3-0 down with 10 minutes to

I might be wrong but don't rugby league teams get a bonus point for reaching a certain score in each game regardless of the result?

I think they get bonus points based on how much they win by. Dont think that would work in football because the top teams will always out score everyone else.

But extra points for wins and for score draws would leave every team with that extra insentive to go for the win or try and get back in the game if 2 or 3 goals down because 2 points could be very *****.

    Not for me.

    Change is not always good.

Was having a discussion a couple of weeks ago with some mates about the goal line technology they've brought in now. I said they might also use technology to decide if it was really a penalty, was it a corner or a goalkick, was it offside and so on in a few years time.

We all agreed that it would be a bad idea!

Huge differnce though. Technology could end up being used for every little thing.

A differant point system would be final and everyone would know how to adapt rightaway.

Many never wanted the 2 point for a win system changed but it ended up being welcomed by everyone around the major league.

Same as the playoffs in our lower league.

Sometimes change can be a good thing.

I suppose I'm just so used to the way it is now that I wouldn't welcome any changes that I don't think are necessary. It's always been 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw for me so I don't know if I'd like it.

Having a referee in each half of the pitch is another one I've heard talked about
