    Train tickets to Swindon advice

    We are looking at booking our train tickets to Swindon but looking on trainline they seem expensive .Was wondering if anyone had found a cheaper route, way or website .Cheers utm

    Try having a look on East Coast trains, if there's cheaper tickets to be had at this stage theyll be on that site. I never book anywhere else.

    Also most of the time it's better to break the route down into singles rather than a straight return.

    Exactly right
    Cheapest return is 90 quid+

    If you book singles and also split the journey
    you can probably half that.

    e.g.

    Dep 7:56 Sheff Arr 9:08 Birmingham 11 pounds 90
    Dep 9:30 Brum Arr 10:10 Cheltenham 8 pounds 80
    Dep 11:00 Cheltnm Arr 12:03 Swindon 3 pounds 90

    Just over 24 quid for the outbound journey
    Loads of other combinations. You just need to do some homework and be prepared to be flexible.
