    Forest issued with winding-up petition

Forest have been issued with a winding up petition over an alleged unpaid catering bill that may amount to Ai9 million.
Brought by Le Bistro it orders Forest into the High Court on May 12.

Firstly, how many pies has Andy Reid eaten?

Secondly, what on earth is going on? - view external link

Sorry - can't find a link to the article. It was in The Sun (if that counts a reliable source??!!)

"Forest hit by "Ai9m" wind up petition.

Nottingham Forest have been issued with a winding up petition over an alleged unpaid catering bill, that may amount to Ai9 million.

The petition is the second to hit the club in weeks.

Brought by Le Bisto, a subsidiary of stadium caterer Elior it orders Forest into the High Court on May 12."

Bit vague about the amount - but - definite about the date!!

how long will forest fans remain in denial over fatass and their finances? either he's not putting in the money he claims to be, he hasn't got it or they are being mismanaged in a big way.

that's not even mentioning the trouble they're gonna have with FFP! the tables are turning, no doubt about it.

I reckon he has the cash, but maybe he thinks its ok not to pay people what he owes them? This isnt the first time is it?

9 million seems a bit steep though, how do you get 9 million in debt with a catering company :/

I would think that 9million would be the overall contract price say over 8 years or something , they have probably missed a few months payments just like the 85 grand they owe us . Very embarrassing for them .Fawas seems clueless to me , who once said on here all that glitters ain't gold !

But hang on it still don't make sense, surely if they sold the catering to an outside company just like we did with Delaware then shouldn't the said company pay forest...not the other way round, if my memory serves me correctly Delaware about A?6m for a 10year deal, how have forest ended up owing money?

Not that i'm bothered though but bring it on.

Talking about winding up orders, didn't our very own Sam Rush issue them one once when he was at Wasserman media, something along the lines of outstanding agents fees, it appears forest have history here with paying late.

And wasn't they're club credit card declined once and a player himself had to put on his own credit card?

Tut tut, the clubs a shambles!!!

The person I know gets paid by Forest to do the catering. Just around 2-3 months later. And he know others who are just as ****ed off as him. This is normal practice for the club. It seems to me that there is a major cash f

This shows how crazy professional football is in England. There has never been more money in the game yet genuinely profitable clubs are as rare as hens' teeth.

When top players were on reasonable salaries it was OK to think that local businessmen might shoulder the losses for the sake of a seat on the board and a bit of reflected glory. But those days are gone.

We may "hate" Forest but how much duller will the game be if they vanish into administration courtesy of some ill-judged business decisions and a foolish faith in foreign money?
