    Next Season Squad

I believe the squad below is what remains when contracts and loans end, which gives us a squad of 22 players as a starting point...

    GK
    Darlow
    DeVries
    Evtimov

    RB
    Lichaj

    LB
    Harding

    CB
    Wilson
    Hobbs
    Lascelles
    Halford

    R/LM
    Paterson
    Mackie
    Abdoun
    McLaughlin

    CM
    Vaughan
    Cohen
    Majewski
    Reid
    Lansbury
    Osborn

    ST
    Cox
    Henderson
    Blackstock

So assuming that no-one leaves, or if they do we replace like for like, I think we need the following...

    1. A first choice LB
    2. A back-up RB
    3. Two strikers, 3 if Dex isn't going to play next season

There are obviously places in that squad which could be strengthened but it still looks a solid start point for Psycho to start from, provided we can keep them fit!!!!

    I expect Blackstock to retire.

    Sell Abdoun.

Spoke to tudders a couple of weeks ago and dex isn't finished so it looks as though we're stuck with him for the next three years.

I'd sell Cox and keep Derbyshire. Tudgay out as well.

If an offer of 5 million is received for Darlow and Lascelles, we should sell.

I believe that the following players are out of contract...
    Jara
Collins (not 100% on this one)
    Greening
    Derbyshire
    Miller
    Moussi
    Gillet
    Tudgay

    The following are loans...
    Peltier
    Fox
Djebbour (seems to be some question on this)
    Gomis

Personally I wouldn't keep any of them.

And whilst there are a few that remain in contract that I think we would be better replacing, that doesn't account for how easy (or otherwise) it is to sell a failing player on high wages!!

Collins has another year left i'm afraid Tricky (as does Harding)...

Not sure I would bother keeping any out of that lot either. maybe Peltier if on a free.

Fox I understand will make his loan permanent and sign a 3 year deal once his loan ends. Not sure I am too pleased about this. He has looked marginally better than Harding - even worse on some occasions. May play better in a settled and stronger back 4 I guess?!

Then you would be selling off the club's assets too cheaply.I understand that both players are attracting the attention of Chelsea and Manchester Utd and Jamaal Lascelles is being regarded as the club's safety net against running foul of FFP regulations.
