    Should we be worried?

We have a thread running about transfer targets, rumours will abound as the social and national media kick into overtime.

Most will have an opinion to who we will spend our 'billions' on. Messi will be mentioned along with Van Percy and Robbin, even Rooney may be thrown into the mix.

We sit comfortably on top of our league with promotion and the title secure, many records broken with the possibility of others to follow. The crowds have returned, the Manager and staff have put together a young capable team. The relationship between players and fans is better than ever. Five of our squad have been nominated in the League one team of the year.

All is good in the World of Wolves:- or is it?
Should we be worried that some of our successful team may be head hunted? The likes of Ikeme, McDonald and Batth must have caught the eye of scouts from bigger clubs. If they havn't then the scouts have not been doing their job.

If the likes of Southampton are in danger of loosing at least

    re: Should we be worried?

I don't think we should be worried, we should be prepared. It's the nature of the modern game. Trickle up theory - ManU and Chelsea take from Newcastle and Everton who take from Villa and Fulham who take from the top of the Championship who take from the middle and bottom of the Championship who take from L1 and so on and so forth til we have the Isthmian League taking from pub leagues.

We just have to hope that our scouting and recruiting department have their ducks in a row. If we're successful, bigger clubs will poach our players. That's just how it goes. I'm not too worried about Championship clubs taking our players as we're just as big, if not bigger, than most of the clubs in our league next year. Only a relegated Fulham, Sunderland or Villa would be a vastle more attractive optin than us IMO. Or if Arry is willling to spend on a whim at QPR. I only see us selling to a club on our level if they're willing to give us silly money for a player and if they to, more power to them.

    re: Should we be worried?

Yes we should, Abbo, but I imagine only from Premiership sides as we will be a Championship side ourselves next season.

Another factor is that the team spirit is very high and the temptation of wanting to be part of possibly two successive promotions must exert a pull.

As you so rightly say, everyone has their price. My gut feeling is that we will retain most of the players that KJ wants, but that feeling doesn't come with any guarantees.

Agents will be going full steam to get as many moves as they can "fix" ,encouraging their Clients to move on for their career and his bank balance,so nobody kid themselves its dog eat dog.

    No.
We've won League 1 and proved nothing as of yet.
Let's see how we cope next season before we need to worried.

    re: Should we be worried?

Every player has a price on his head and at Wolves it's no different. If the right offer comes in, Moxey and the rest of the board have to consider it. But, as in the past, Moxey often holds out for the best deal, even if the player wants out. A winning team attracts interest, but it's league one that has been won this season. Players have to go again next season, with hopefully some new faces added to the squad.

    Agree with greystone!

Only loyalty in football is from the fans!

If I was a player, I'd bite there hands off for a bigger wage because that's the way it is!

No good worrying, some will go some will stay. If Jackets the man
then we have to trust him.
