Not Hibs as such but it's no surprise she's moved on. Everyone in football seemed to rate her and when (without wanting to open up the punching above our weight or not debate) a club of our size performs so consistently despite so many changes in personnel, people will obviously look at what stabilising force there is behind the scenes.

My main surprise is she fancies another club gig, though the potential is obviously there at Hibs. I thought the SPFL or SFA a more likely destination.

She will definitely be missed but hopefully the ground work is there that someone new can build further. Her performance does show the value of a good CE though - it's not a position we should be looking to fill with simply the cheapest solution.

My thoughts exactly. Leeann has had a low profile of late and I've suspected for the past 12-18 months that she'd move on to another club (not the SFA or SPFL as they tend to be a bit of a closed shop).

She has achieved a lot in her time at Fir Park and undoubtedly has taken us forward. She'll be missed.

These days CEOs change jobs fairly frequently and 3/4/5/6 years stints are the norm. As HD says we need to pick her successor carefully. The value of a good CEO cannot be underestimated and I wouldn't want us to return to the days before she arrived with us muddling through with no overall direction. The value of a good

I am certainly not surprised not on our site we have the worst site in the country it is never kept up to date. If we ever sign someone or sell someone sky sports have always announced it before it goes on our site so although surprised about leeann leaving certainly not surprised that we have not been officially told by the club yet. They consistently tell us about the well society and fans ownership and all my family are in it including my wife who has been to 2 games in her life both cup finals yet the sun newspaper tells every body this news before we get informed surely this should have been either on our site or in an e-mail to all the fans that are set up for it.

To be fair, it's not on our website as we weren't expecting (or told) that Hibs were releasing any statement this morning.

We are working on a statement and that will be released just shortly.

It was also on the back pages of the sun but this happens all the time remember reading on the dundee site about mchugh,s loan deal falling through and on the dundee utd site about our game in feb being changed to a friday night way before it was on our site. Just seems to be our site is always last to update information about the club and only puts it on once everybody has found out about things elsewhere

Understand what you are saying mate...

We can't obviously respond to everything that appears in a newspaper. They (papers) can run with things before they are 100% confirmed whilst, official club websites often have to wait until everything is signed, sealed and delivered.

We weren't expecting Hibs official announcement today so it caught us a little on the hop. That's the honest truth of it. There had been no contact to intimate any statement was imminent.

As for McHugh (although, it was Cummins as I recall) to Dundee... Again, without going into too much detail, Dundee announced prior to the deal being fully concluded. Post Mike Grella, we always edge on the side of caution when it comes to transfers etc.

The Dundee United game being moved happened (or was announced by the league) when the people who update the website were travelling to Inverness (or Ross County, I can't fully remember) for a game and therefor unable to update until they reached a computer or laptop several hour

I hope the news leaks McHugh is never coming back. Ill excuse the club if I read that one in the media. I see he aint getting a game with QoS .. wonder if they realised quicker than us his worth.

I take your points i did mean mchugh as he was supposed to be going to dundee but fell through because of a new 1 player only rule and cummins went one day and mchugh was meant to be going the next was on radio had fell through due to this new rule and i read on dundee site that neither them or motherwell knew about it. When it eventually came onto our site we had found another club as in qos to take him.

The decision to jump ship by LD is bound to unsettle the Manager IMO. Are we therefore looking at replacing a CEO and McCall?
In terms of the poaching of LD, Petrie's clearly saw the potential she could develop at Hibees; working on a shostring budget yet still able to advance the club in terms of performance, and the formation of the Well Society. He's not a daft fellow.
