We have to go for it, although there is no need to throw caution to the wind, unless things are not going to plan as the game progresses. Two clean sheets in the last two games is a positive regarding the defence and our young keeper. However, it is no good sitting back and inviting pressure. That is a recipe for disaster. Sit too deep, as is sometimes the case, and they will slaughter us. We cannot rely on others now.

Bottom line is: We have to win this one. There is no point in relying on others. It will be tough, as the table does not lie, and Preston are a very formidable outfit. It is achievable though, although I reckon the Alex will need a fair slice of luck on Saturday.

Preston above all won't want to pick up injuries so let's use that to our advantage and get stuck in.

We want to win and play to win, but let's not naively throw caution to the wind and end up losing when a draw might be enough.

Don't buy that stuff about Preston not wanting injuries - their manager, Simon Grayson, has already said they want to maintain their momentum going into the play-offs and that they want to finish third.
It's still tight amongst the top three in the play-offs and they'll all be after the chance to play a Peterborough side that have been hit-and-miss for the last few games.

Going to be a long 90 minutes on Saturday...

I don't know how they could not be.

If we'd secured our play off spot with a game to spare, would you have been more worried about momentum and who we'd be playing than Nick Powell staying injury free?

It's got to be playing on their minds to some degree.

SD says he will be playing it tight to keep them out and make the most of catching them on the break
of course this may be press talk to deflect from the proper line up but come what may the set up will change depending on how the game is going at half time no doubt.
Bring it on and lets see a really good shift from all the players and I will be there whichever division we find ourselves in come next season.
    COYR one big final push

Steve, please stop ****ing about and start to get the team in the right frame of mind. Saying things like 'Catch them on the break' sounds like we are playing sodding ManU not someone in the same division whom we have beaten already.

We are playing at home and we should go at them like a train non stop, tackle, hustle, bustle, run like **** on every single ball and create chance after chance and score a hatful. Not sodding hitting anyone on the break.

Your tactics have failed this season over and over and especially at home and IF we should go down, I hope you take FULL responsibility for it and resign!

Every other manager in this situation has had his P45 and so why not you?

So there, get bloody weaving and FFS don't stand there like a Burton's stuffed dummy when we may need some inspiration on Saturday.

Telling ANY team to play it tight and hit them on the break is a defeatist attitude!

I'm already piissed off with this club for not reducing prices for this last match espe
