I imagine he'll have a bit too spend, maybe get one 1 millionish player and a few others. Depends on moving on the likes of sammon. Hopefully it'll be chris evans in the main though, thats what he gets paid for.

Will Steve be aloud to buy new players to improve - not just the loan players but new players? Can he/the team do a fester next year?

The Brett Wilson interview on the BBC Derby County web page is worth a listen, he seems very excited and interested for once, so maybe he will, put some extra cash into the club next season whatever league we end up in.Originally Posted by KentRam
But the Americans are experts at smoke and mirrors - hype is in their blood. The prove is in the pudding, As far as Sammon is concerned that's another loss for the club, a bit like we are still paying Shaun Barker but will never see him play again.
It's an interesting question Kent, one I've thought about even before the play offs started. Good to see you posting again by the way.
The way I see it is that we have surplus players to move on first. Once that is done, or taking this into account, I feel very confident that Steve will have sufficient backing to strengthen.
That may be a season long loan here and there, a couple of permanents too. What I feel most confident about is that we have a team that we know has the ability to challenge in this league and this years experience will only benefit them. I feel confident that Steve will know what he needs and be able find suitable targets.
If we lose in the final then no, we won't be spending big bucks. I don't think the transfer or wage budgets will change too much but I don't think it needs to. It just needs to be sensible, we can build on this year.
If it's the Championship again next year then I will, for the first time since our last relegation, really look forward to next
I'm just going to add one more point that a comment on another thread reminded me of.
In the event of a Wembley defeat and assuming we are not plagued by too many injuries and that we sign a decent RB to cover the absence of Wisdom then we WILL make the play offs again next season or better...
IF WE WERE TO SIGN THORNE EITHER PERMANENTLY OR ON A SEASON LONG LOAN
There, I have committed myself now. And this is coming from an eternal pessimist when it comes to predicting Derby results.
I'm not sure my reappearance after all this time has sent you light headed but this is a first!!
My worries are over Ramondo has finally stepped out and put his head over the fence lol!!!
Will we keep Bryson though and without him where will the goals come from?
To be fair all the blood has rushed from my head thinking about you![]()
And you've "outed" Ramondo too
Doesnt losing in the playoffs net the club A?10m to A?12m?
I thought I heard that once but dont quote me. But I thought the losing team gets the money from the final.
The TV rights must pay big at least - but it will be interesting to look out for in next years finance report!
I read somewhere you get A?5m just for participating in the final!
