    Lewis McGugan

Rumour doing the rounds that we are interested in Lewis McGugan from Watford.

Would a decent signing in my opinion.

After watching England last night I realised, I bloody hate close season...roll on August.

He's lazy and a defensive liability, and wouldn't really suit our quick passing style of play.

BUT, he is a set-piece specialist, something we sorely lack.

Still, this is no doubt a load of ********, potentially arising from the fact Watford want Hnedrick. Some kind of swap deal? 2+2=7 in this case I reckon.

This. His set pieces would be pivotal. Be certainly need a set piece taker is this summer, but I've heard nothing on this

    It's ******** I'm sure.

I still think he or a similar player would weaken the team overall. I also think McClaren can coach set-piece taking in the pre season too.

No thank you, I don't think he's any better than what we have.

On the set peice thought - Chris Martin should be taking the ones just outside the box, and I'm surprised Forsyth doesn't take the corners from the left?

I'd have forsyth taking pretty much all our set pieces to be honest. he's the best crosser of a ball I've seen in a derby shirt for years.

seeing as we don't have anyone that's any good from free kicks I'd also let him have a go at them too.

I rate Martin from close range, to be honest. The one he scored at the iPro earlier this season was unstoppable. Bryson scored one at Wigan, but since then his radar's been a bit off.

As for Forsyth taking corners, I'm not sure. He's a big lad and often goes up for them. Also crossing is a lot different to corner taking, as stupid as that sounds. Forsyth swings a great early ball in, but when he has too much time, he seems to disappoint. I'd leave all the set pieces to someone else.

I think its in Jamie Ward's contract that he must take all free kicks within 25 yards and all corners. Otherwise why the hell is he allowed anywhere near one?

He wouldn't come here anyway, I think he is pretty pedestrian.
