The new York stadium is actually called the York City Community Stadium, bit boring really.

Still a bit naff to call a stadium in Rotherham the New York Stadium IMO.

Well i know the kid who thought of the very well, (same as many do )..and i actually think its a fantastic ...its not some made up excuse to call it the new york stadium, my dad lived down new york..so bollo**s to what all dee dahs think, its called new york for a reason...

Can't believe this Great Fire, its a brilliant and if we are to adopt New York New York as our anthem, we're going to look pretty stupid if we end up with a sponser and end up with a new ****ty.

New York wasd after the Archbishop of York. You would think that RUFC would say this when having a tour of the stadium, but they don't. They talk about the link with the Guest and Chrimes and the fire hydrants which is a good story, but surely it should also include the story about why the area was called New York?

Have to admit, that when I first heard the NYS. I thought, oh dear! However, after checking local history and finding that the Stadium is built where there was an area of Rotherham called New York. It made sense.

I just wished they hadd some of the rooms inside after well known locals. Such as: The Sgt Ian McKay V.C. lounge, The Sir Donald Bailey Suite ect.
