    Blogging on Saints

Haven't blogged on Saints in a good year or so (last blog post was the first panic when we thought Cortese was going to leave).
Thought it would be good to give it an update, so here's my latest post.

    re: Blogging on Saints

A very good blog and right to look at it in this light. Far too much focus on the negative by some imo.
I have a different opinion about the team you picked (but then doesn't everyone?)

Need another keeper - we agree on that. Need a left back but keep developing Targett, we agree on that also. If the expected sale goes through we need 2 CB's (we needed one anyway).
I could be wrong but somewhere in the back of my mind I am sure Chambers started in Midfield so why not push him wide midfield and give Cylne some competition too? Up front I always like 2 players. Pelle and J Rod? Or any other combination.

We have 9 first team midfield players so I favour a conventional 4-4-2 switching with 4-3-1-2 and 3-5-2 (with Vic coming back) to allow the wide men to push on where the game allows. I also think Cork and Davis should be pushing for places this year.

Like I say, everyone is a critic. Good on you for a well written blog.

Enjoyed reading your well written piece Arthur. Interesting perspective which on the whole agree with.

Good luck with your chosen career path. Are you back in Exeter again for your final year ?

    Thanks guys, much appreciated

I'm still in France actually - finished my year studying in Chambery, and am now interning in Paris. Thought it would be a great experience to work abroad, and great practice for my French! Applied for loads of jobs (had an interview with Eurosport which would have been dreamland, but fell short sadly) - in the end it's recruitment I've gone with. Not the most scintillating stuff, but as I say, it's the experience that counts.

Back to Exeter for 4th year, in September. Going to be a tough year, and hopes of seeing ECFC push for promotion are frankly pretty farcical...

Good blog and nice to read something positive after all the doom, gloom and despondency that has consumed a lot of us fans in recent weeks. Keep them coming.
