The overwhelming reaction seems to be disbelief and sorrow - the anger will come later I suspect. 15 buses were set alight in Sao Paulo, but to be honest, that is pretty normal, and bus depots are forever getting burnt out, probably more to do with the government contracts in buying new ones than anything else.

Argentina getting through has twisted the knife a little more, and there are now 200m people cheering Germany for the final, but Argentina winning would be unthinkable.

There were some chants that the TV's here tried to dub out of 'Dilma - go **** yourself' or words to that effect (Dilma - the President) as there had been during the opening game when she and Blatter didn't open the ceremonies for fear of exactly this.

If she has to hand the cup to someone after the final, we can expect more of this.
