How long are we going to persist with a manager who has no tactical know-how, little or no judgement of a good player and is ultimately going to take our club out of business!!!
We have what looks like a team with the lowest fitness level I can remember in my 42 years of following the Well - it is absolutely shameful.
McCall seems intent on not upsetting the players at the club by almost guaranteeing the same players a start almost every week no matter how they play the week before. The only good things I saw against Stjarnan at Fir Park were that we have a good young right back - Craig Reid. A very good and willing ball-winner in midfield - Stuart Carswell. And what seems to be a very promising striker in Lee Erwin. Get a good management team in to develop them and bring in some hungry players who will play for the jersey and appreciate the opportunity and clear out the rest who no longer will give their all for the Well. If we don't the club will die like it almost did before. I

There is only one thing to do - we need a new management team. One that can inspire the players, develop the young boys and show some faith in them - slowly but surely - and give them their opportunity when the moment arises - instead of sticking with under-performing players because they have " experience ". We have not developed as a team/club under McCall's stewardship. I don't want a manager who is best buddies with the players - I want one that can develop them and push them on to greater things and doesn't throw the little money we do have at poor standard players out of desperation - ie Vigurs - who is one of the laziest and most uninterested looking players it has been my misfortune to witness.
McCall has had his chance - I want my club to survive and strive for better and not go into a downward spiral which it is sure to do if he remains.
If the club persists in going along with this well society owning and running the club,we will sink like a lead balloon, need to try and at least mix with private investment to stand any chance of survival.
I can't believe the number of calls to sack our manager...just who would replace him and do a better job????? Get real guys !!!!!
I couldn't agree more Director - we need a single person with an astute business brain in place to lead the club. The Society was a pleasant enough idea in principle but we need an experienced business person to advise on how to improve revenue at the club.We are also supposed to be a family club but I think a lot of that was lost when the late and well-loved Bill Dickie died. One person I would like to see back at the club in some capacity is Crags - who certainly loved Motherwell FC and could instil this in the young players.
"get real" you say. Are you for real ? Or are you Bob McHugh perhaps. McCall's a clown, time to take his Act eleswhere.Originally Posted by ouialpha

Good call we should have had him head up the youth development system, instead of Scott leitch, who I feel should not been given such a senior position after he run up north to Aberdeen.Craggs should more loyality and leadership to the club over the years.
Couldn't believe it there - was on Steelmen Online - only to find Stuart McCall being described as one of the best managers we have ever had. Talk about deluded!!!! If he goes back as far as I do he'll be saying Roger Hynd was a great manager next!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What utter nonsense to say that Stuart McCall has no tactical know-how, little or no judgement of a good player and is going to take the club out of business. A sweeping statement that needs to be backed-up with facts which I hope you can supply.
So our finishes in the last 3 years weren't anything to do with his tactics or player judgement. Was it luck, poor opposition, dodgy refereeing or something else?
I bow to your remarkable memory recall that you can state that the fitness levels of our team are at the lowest in the past 42 years. I can only say that they did appear to lack match fitness v Stjarnan, but have no idea if it was poorer than v Workington 1972, v Sheff Wed in 1975 or at the same stage in any other season.
I truly despair if any Motherwell fan believes that Stuart McCall is not doing a great job with the limited ability of the players he has managed during his time at Fir Park. Yes he's made mistakes and his cup record is poor, but do we really think that there is any
