    Martin 25+ this season?

With a year at Derby under his belt, and playing with basically the same midfield as last season, will Chris be as strong, or stronger? The fact that he has competition from Best may keep him sharp. Any views?

Doubtful, defenders will have him measured this season and he will need to watch the diving. He will need to add to his game this season if he wants to get to 25.
Still also carrying too much weight for me.
A good number 9 no doubt we will need him to get it high ***** minimum.

I think he will score 20 if we have a successful season. If we create, he will score!

At the end if the day if teams now focus overly on stopping Martin then there is still Hendrick, Bryson and Russell amongst others who are capable of scoring.

Despite this I think he has the craft, guile and confidence to still score a decent amount

I don't think teams can stop Martin as an individual, but he does rely on others to set him up. If you stop the supply then he isn't effective.

Err...isn't that just stating the obvious, every striker to varying degrees needs others to set him up. What's he supposed to do go on full pitch runs to score every goal.
Bloody hell if you don't pass to him he won't be effective

Why are you being a ****? Some players need setting up to score, like Martin does, but some players make their own chances by dribbling or being quick onto loose balls.

    You are either stupid o

Are you telling me that Ronaldo and Messi need as much service to score goals as Miroslav Klose does? No they don't because they are mobile and can create chances out of nothing, but Klose just stands around near the penalty area and waits for good balls into the box. If you cut off those crosses into the box then Klose becomes less of a threat, but if you cut of the supply to Ronaldo and Messi they will still bang in goals because of the type of player they are.

Do you need me to spell it out any better for you?

bloody hell sheeeeep you gone for the "I'm going to completely own woolwhacker approach there! fair play, I agree with everything you say regarding his need for service.

I'd also point out the fact he provides so much service for Bryson and Russell etc. I think he'll hit between 17-25 this season, but even if he hit 10, his contribution to the team's play would still be invaluable. He's so much more than a goalscorer.

Sorry to make you angry Sheeep, but your hissy fit doesn't change the fact your just typing bland nonsense. I said all strikers need setting up 'to various degrees' but he's hardly Gary Lineker.
He links up play better than probably anyone else in the SBC so he has a big part in setting up his chances.
Admit you were bored and just typed something for the sake of it.
