Sorry to say this, but I am not letting my heart rule my head at this early point of the season. A big defeat for us. 4-0. That way, if we get anything out of this game, I will be well pleased.

Having said that, I can see us improving as the season progresses, if and only if, SD can bring in the right loan players. The left back from City (who I was unsure about on the other thread) looks like he will bring quality to the side (on the recommendations of others) and that other City player (the forward) might also then join us.

Well my prediction was way off, so I am less downhearted by the result. However, according to the commentary on RS, Fleetwood deserved their 3 points (20 shots to our 7), especially considering the money that they have outlaid on new signings. Proctor's goal was fit for "Goal of the Day" according to PM. Therefore, with that in mind we should not be too downhearted and we could have actually have gained something from the game, with 2 hits against the woodwork and a missed penalty. Mind you, you get nothing for near misses. Nice to hear that the commentator's man of the match for the Alex was Waters (hit the bar and caused their full-back all kinds of problems). Saunders came on and won our second penalty. Just need to get Colclough fit and then we will have three useful lads to choose from - or play them all
