    Martinez Eyes Top Four Finish


    Anyone remember the days way finishing fourth would be considered a poor season, and not an achievement?




    Everton Ready To Push For Top Four Spot.


    Everton boss Roberto Martinez feels his side is now better equipped for a tilt at finishing in the top four this season.

    The Spanish tactician is about to embark on his second season as the Toffees' boss after a superb opening salvo which saw the Merseysiders finish fifth and secure a place in the Europa League group stage.

    Everton were in or around the top four for most of the campaign but fell three points short of fourth-placed Arsenal and had to settle for a place in Europe's second-tier competition.

    Martinez feels that the English top-flight will be just as competitive as it was last term but, after further player recruitment over the summer and with another year behind them as a squad, he believes that his men are now ready to take the next step.

    I don't don't see us getting in the top six. To be honest I think other team will have the measure of Everton and our playing style this Season
