    Transfer window sillyness

As we approach the end of the transfer window there's sure to be some surprises, some welcome and some not.

Are we done wheeling and dealing now? Or do you reckon there may be more business done before close of play Monday night?

I can't help but think we should have possibly looked at a keeper (Anders Lindegard anyone?) and certainly a CB. I've noted a story buried on one of the football sites that we are looking at Marcelo Diaz. Begs the question..Why? Yet another midfielder? Does it mean that someone is leaving? Diame? Noble? Morrison? Nolan?

In a perfect world, breaking news tonight will be along the lines of Vaz Te, Cole and O'Brien are being farmed off to Championship clubs making room for a couple of decent signings.

More than likely though the long awaited bid for Reid will finally come to light. Ah well..we shall see.

    Your thoughts gents?

We do need a CB, but it looks as if it will need to be a loan deal, which makes it a tad harder.

Not sure if we will do any more business.

I won't be watching Sky all day as it does my head in, but the early talk on there is Micah Richards in and Hull triggering Diame's release clause.

Other than that it's a case of persuading Carlton and Vaz Te to take a drop in wages to move I reckon.

I love transfer deadline day right up until they have Big Ben going off on sky sports and we haven't signed anyone and then my attitude towards it changes and I think it's all pure 5hit.

How on earth could we justify selling RVT or King Carlton when they're both in the starting XI? What would that say about the manager?

Anyway, it'd be nice to have another CB in the squad, but with the Song signing it looks like being a quiet day for us... which makes a pleasant change.

Rumour is we've agreed a fee with Hull for Mo, so he'll play out of his skin against us in a couple of weeks :/

Song can play there and guess he will be used as cover. If Reid goes, we are in a pickle
