Just to see how long it takes til we start slating the new bloke.
I'm now on my tenth year on this board & don't remember ANY manager in that time being like by the majority - except Pardew the first year back up.

same rules at any club for a manager
keep winning will prevent moaning
keep winning and be an honest, decent bloke, even better
win, be entertaining, be honest - winner winner chicken dinner
i can remember lots of times when the majority of fans supported a manager
most likely the focus would have then gone on to a poor player, poor attendance, booing by the crowd, poor atmosphere, that's how a messageboard rolls
when all is well, it's much quieter

The man is completely un-likeable and appears to have no redeeming quality's whatsoever, Redknapp might me a bit of a c.unt but he plays the media a treat, is a cheeky chappie and is never short of an amusing anecdote.
Playing sh1t football is one thing but playing sh1t football whilst remaining grumpy, arrogant, unrepentant and smug really does rub people up the wrong way.
He's not charming like Jose, Endearing like Martinez or even principled like Wenger so he has very little credit in the bank with the fans he seems to hold in contempt. I'm quite sure that Ronald Koeman wasn't a Southampton fan but he still spoke warmly of LeTissier, Keegan and their history.
If Sam had been a little more humble and pleasant then I'm sure he'd be viewed
Before the internet we aired all our frustrations face to face and then cooled down. Nowadays we air our frustrations instantly as we feel them. The next day we may of changed our minds a little as its not constantly fed with outside influences ie other posters then in turn we now fuel the fire by agreeing or disagreeing.
Almost no ones feelings that are shown on here are real feelings theyre just how theyre feeling at that time
Maybe. I never liked him, to be honest. Before he was appointed the two people I would have least wanted at the club were him & Colin W@nker. But once he got the job I grudgingly supported him.Originally Posted by bonzosbest74

He looks like my old boxing trainer (RIP) so I really want to like him, it really would help if he knew what he was doing regarding my football club.
I even tried to like him when he laughed and said that Moaninginho cant handle it but all he did was make himself look like a jumped up kid.
The bloke is a (unt and sadly thats all there is to it

Mate, I'm one of the people who changed their mind about him because I was fully supportive for the first 18 months.
The likeability issue is really separate from football ability because I've written nice things about Diame & Coles personality's very recently but I don't really rate either as players. It was the same with Collison who seems like a smashing boy and I was desperate for Zola to do well for us but Allardyce does not come across as a nice human being so when he starts to perform poorly I want him gone.
It hurts me when you say Carlty isn't very good![]()
