Just been reading that ***** football site and there's an article about Evans missing out on a 1M pound player because of discussions over financing.

It also says we will be going back in the loan window with a loan then buy arrangement.

Wonder who this could be... What a time this is for the mighty millers!

Hope its a not another striker - I'm not sure Bury have room in their squad at the moment.

Yeah saw this same story (pretty much word for word) in the Star yesterday.
Most on here seem to think it's the Dwyer lad from the States.

Was reports we were signing Craig Noone, so maybe it's a winger, can't see it being another striker. We have a lot of Midfielders, but lack a winger with lots of pace. Whatever position for a million you would have thought he would be a cut above of what we've already got.

Do however worry a little us spending that kind of money on a player.

Just shows you how easily you can waste your money...he wasnt a bad player but 880k? Tavs must be worth 5 million then...

I wished we had splashed the cash on Dicko last year if we had this money to invest, he would have been great for us and provide a decent return when sold on.

We've also missed Tavs who would get forward but had the legs to get back (albeit not brilliant in defence).

Evans was bigging up his friendship with Warnock so maybe its a palace player?

Someone mentioned last week Max Clayton did 5 days training with us.

He went on trial at Everton who passed up the opportunity to buy him. Then pre season at Sunderland who wanted to buy him but stalled. He is a free transfer but compensation should be paid to Crewe amounting to 975,000. I'am sure now he will go elsewhere
