Following the shocking vandalism of the excellent murals at Palmerston many Queens fans and local people have expressed their disgust. Now is the chance to help do something to help protect the murals.Fellow Queens fan Davie Walls and John Gilligan from SBS in Dumfries helped to source perspex from a local supplier. Now all we need is help to fund the project.Fellow Queens fan Brian Murphy has donated a signed away top from a few seasons ago, young keeper Jim Atkinson has donated a pair of signed gloves and I am donating a signed top by Aiden Smith from last season.Bids for these can be made at [email protected] with all proceeds going towards the project.Anyone wishing to make a donation please get in touch via the same email address and we will try and organise something.

hi ross,
fantastic news about the mural, I have a slight concern about using perpex which has poor resistance qualities to paint and solvent. in my job we use polycarbonate sheets which is solvent and scratch resistant the trade is LEXAN. Hopefully the forementioned guys have this in mind.
cheers

Got to be honest...and I fear I may be the first person to admit this - but I actually do not like the murals. Go on, shoot me down.
Don't get me wrong though, I abhor the vandalism as I do appreciate the intent of the original purpose.

Won't comment on the murals but I personally was always rather fond of that brick wall. It got by for years without adornment.Originally Posted by BellyTubby
