    Bland Acceptance of P1sh...

I was wondering if its just me but I think the continual "we are in blind poverty " peddled by the club over the years has now ingrained itself into the fans... Ive seen the years where we struggled , got relegated and all in between. In the days of those struggles the fans we very animated in their reactions. I sat at Firhill yesterday and watched utter sh1te for 70 mins and the Motherwell fans seemed completely resigned to the outcome. There was little or no passion / reaction to the utter guff on didplay. The most animated i saw our fans was the strange standing ovation and "There's only one Ian Vigurs" chant that greeted the substitution of a complete waster.

Even myself , at 70 mins I calmy stood up and quietly left the ground, once outside I was lucky if I gave the game a second thought because there just seems no point getting upset by it. I never put the radio on in the car either to see how the game finished or other scores had gone.

It is indeed changed days from the fier

Iv'e felt like that since the stjarnan defeat. I can remember a time if we got beaten it would all but ruin your weekend, now I really don't care. I wasn't at the game yesterday, I don't go to away games because of cost, but when it flashed up on tv that it was 1 0 to partick I just gave a sort of wry smile of acceptance. I really haven't the motivation for games any more and that's partly caused by the attitude of the board over recent years peddling the poverty line every week, sick to the back teeth listening to it. My season tickets been put away, iv'e attended two games thus far. I think I can see me binning the season ticket next year and join a golf club. It would be sad after being a ticket holder for 25 years or so, but the motivation just isn't there any more.

That's an understandable attitude to have when the board, PR team and manager are forever drip feeding you guff like "we're only Motherwell, we're punching waaaaaaay above our weight, we're skint, but give us money and join the Well Society".

It's no wonder the majority are scunnered with the club.

I am behind the team, however that doesn't mean they are immune to criticism, especially when we are on a run like we currently are.

"Losing is not nice but it happens" ...you say that as if it was our first loss in five in an otherwise brilliant start to the season. The reality of course is that we have been rank rotten since the Stjarnan debacle in July, been outplayed by just about every team we have come up against including St.Mirren whom we flunked a win against and are now second bottom of the league and out of the league cup at the first hurdle. I reckon even the happiest of happy clappers would struggle to sugar coat that.
