    View from Scully Towers

Summat up with the Gosport Ferry.

No service for an hour now.
The one ferry is moored on the external platform Gosport side, and not available for loading.

Well the Yanks have just sailed out of the harbour.
Was on a harbour tour Sunday and the driver said "On our right is a visiting American Destroyer they have 600 of these...we have 6."
I did wonder why the Stars and Stripes were hoisted on Semaphore Tower.

USN Aircraft carriers often used to anchor off Stokes Bay for a weekend while their escorts entered Pompey Harbour. Hasn't been a visit for several years now, that is a shame as they always bring mucho trado to Gunwharf and keep the gals happy for a starters.

Remember seeing the Nimitz anchored off Stokes. Like a giant queen bee with all the attendant copters flying in and out resupplying her. Amazing sight.

When the air wings are embarked I think there are a full complement of 5680 crew embarked Corky. That's a lot of Burgers to cook per day
