Dougie- The players aren't good enough!

Sorry about this Campo21 copy & paste special, but I really couldn't resist. This looks rather worrying!

AS his job appeared to hang by a thread last night, Dougie Freedman admitted reservations over whether his Wanderers squad was good enough to play their way out of trouble.

The beleaguered boss remained in charge as The Bolton News went to press despite fervent speculation that he would be sacked after nearly two years in charge.

The club confirmed he would be present at today's 2pm press conference at Euxton to preview Saturday's clash with Bournemouth.

Wednesday’s shambolic display in a 4-0 defeat at Fulham was seen as a fatal blow to the Scot’s chances of keeping hold of his job.

But it appears that Freedman will run the gauntlet at the Macron Stadium, where fans are likely to continue the protests that first reared their head last weekend during the defeat to Derby County.

Wanderers are four points adrift in the bottom three going into Saturday’s game but Freedman conceded

Keeping Dougie on for the game tomorrow is a rank bad decision by Gartside. It's obvious from reading that text Gary he's run out of ideas and the only thing that will pick them players up is a new Manager with fresh ideas

Thats a very damning report so he doesnt think the players are good enough for us to escape the drop to league 1 well he as built the team & whilst its fair to say he as had nothing from the board to work with he is admitting that he cant get the best out of em & his recruiting skills are just as bad as his management skills so there is no way back for him now after these remarks so why not put himself & us out of our misery & bring in an experienced enough manager who can get a tune out of what we've got, i just dont buy it that the squad we have is a very low end of the table team & there is no reason why we shouldnt be mid table at the very worst if managed competantly; phil brown still seems the most obvious fit to steady the ship imo

I have just read his comments. Unbelievable, for a manager of any workforce to come out in the media and say that is tantamount industrial suicide.

He should have said that they were not good enough with him at the helm. I would have agreed and accepted that as perfectly true.

Could it be his idea of making them annoyed and united against him in some perverse way. A risky tactical way of seeing if it will get a positive reaction. A dangerous tactic if correct.

The ironic thing is, like others say, if you look at the squad on paper they should be in the top half at least.

Unfortunately they play on grass, not paper.

It is you freedman that isn't good enough you fckwit. Now we have a manager who can manage,a manager who can motivate,a manager players will respect,a manager that gets the best out of players,a manager that plays to their strenghs, and in the correct positions,a manager who actualy wants his team to go past the half way line, and above all else freedman a manager we actualy want at our club. These players you say wont get us out of the bottom 3 may now under good management get us this season into the top 3.What ya think about that mr tinkerman,mr useless cnt.
