4231 and a few player thoughts

After two 3,0 defeats it was clear yesterday that SE is trying to work out how to accommodate Frecks Green and Smallwood in the same team, this system would work fine if we still had Agard and better full backs. The Scots lad at Forest , Patterson, is a similar player to Agard and he was mentioned as the potential loan target and Chris Eagles is another rumour.
SE mentioned after yesterdays game that he is looking for 2 or 3 in on loan. I expect this break will see Hall, Brandy move on maybe Wordsworth sent back and possibly Taylor as well.
For me Smallwood was excellent yesterday and must play, Frecks needs to get his confidence back , we need to replace Taylor and find a pacey left back who is comfortable in possession. Let's see if SE can work his magic.

We can't rely on pedestrian intricate passing, especially in that formation. If you want to snatch wins when counter attacking you need pace and due to the choices made with player acquisition we have none. It's getting tiring that we buy in strikers to play (and fail) right wing as we can't find one, we struck lucky with Agard but he obviously wanted to leave. I think he'll do very well in the Championship next year with City. January will be make or break for us, we can't continue doing what we're doing and expect to survive, we're going to need 2,3 or 4 immediate impact players and these don't come cheap especially in January when a lot of desperate managers are doing the same.

Frecks is suffering because he's too deep, we need him Lampard style, that's what he does best. But when there's only Revs in front of him and nothing whatsoever to the left or right other than a deep crossing Skarz or Richardson we are looking very obvious to play against.

The next two weeks should see two or three sent out on loan.Lets see who Steve can bring in,my prediction was mid table 12th place still stand by that prediction...
