    prospects for Huddersfield

they had a shocker and we were brilliant last week...so easy pleasy...things don't work like
that in footy. Their manager will have given
them a kick up the pants and worked hard for improvement but hopefully GR will have insisted on the same from our lads
I would be happy with a draw but with 2 tough games over Xmas a win could be essential

The result at Blackpool, ridiculous though it was; shows there are no gimmees in this league for any teams. The "trench warfare" slogging match style perpetrated by many teams in the division means that it can even be very difficult for the teams that can actually play football like Forest, Norwich & Watford - and even Derby & Bournemouth - and they will get tripped up on any given day. Now we have started to play a bit, the same will apply to us too, so we will have a few more 'unpleasant surprises' I think. Having said that we have done well to beat Forest & Watford, who really are quite good, and we should have beaten Norwich too but for idiotic 'decision making' by captain and coach. Good results v. Derby & at Notts Forest are a bonus; but in some ways I think visits to the Huddersfields of the league will be more problematic

& the Rowett machine rolls on ...

Whilst being the first to agree with your musings, there is evidently some self belief in the squad which is making us hard to score against and difficult to beat.
Its now 17points from 8games; another back to back set of victories; should this form continue we may end up swapping places with another midland team in a very different sense from just seven weeks ago.
A Happy Christmas is on the cards, and the prospect of an exciting New Year. KRO
