    Thanks for this.

Good penalty - and a superb long lob for the winner. Their goal was pretty good as well with the striker climbing high.

James Baillie continues to impress. Clearly the Academy is teaching these youngsters to know where they are, where other players should be, look quickly and feed accurately. Last week, George Cooper could have played the obvious pass down the wing, but saw the chance to switch play and fed Jamie Ness for an unstoppable goal. Yesterday, Baillie showed his learned skills.

Superb penalty too. Great goal from open play from Ajose. Intelligent lob, reminiscent of a Powell goal or two.

The breakaway came as they were appealing for a penalty. Did anyone who went have a clear view of this? Was it a penalty or a dive?

That must be a contender for goal of the season and had to be inch perfect.

Thought that last challenge by us just before looked a clear cut pen but also thought the Ray sending off was harsh as looked like their player cut across Ray and caught his heels. But couldn't see it clearly even on slow motion. Lucky win but we will take it.

I thought that too re Ray, however I didn’t think it was a penalty, our guy slipped going for the ball and their player seemed to think that there is a convenient leg to fall over.

    re: Goals from yesterday

I'm not a Ray fan, and when it came up on Sky sports as 'denying a clear goalscoring opportunity', thought 'Stupid boy' once again.

But the video clip makes me doubt if it was a pen. at all. Forte was facing across the pitch, not towards goal, the ball was played into a channel about five yards from where he was standing, and it looked as though our central defender was trying to run round the back of him to get goalside, whereupon Forte craftily backed into him and fell in a heap.

As for the pen. denied Oldham at the end, it seemed that Baillie's challenge was robust, but certainly getting the ball. It might have helped us that Oldham lost focus in appealing for it, and the next they knew, the ball was in their net.

Another way to look at the ray incident aswell - Forte, the second top scorer in the league, runs through one on one; let's face it, he's probably going to score. If we went 1 down, away from home, i really wouldn't fancy us to even get a point. However going down to ten in a game where we're being dominated in midfield and trying to nick one on the counter does not really change the game as much. Therefore, it could be said that, if deliberate, Ray 'took one for the team'. Not that I condone cheating, of course.

The goals are on Crewe Player too, in a 5 minute highlights clip - remember it's free to all on the O/S over the Christmas New Year Holidays - also a link from Facebook page of club.
