Toby out for a month

Not good - Toby's easily been one of our best players this season and, with Yoshida away until February, his absence leaves us with not much specialist cover at the back.

Been very encouraged by Gardos' performances in recent games where he really seems to have stepped up to the plate, but can't escape the fact that we'll be walking a defensive tightrope for the next 4-5 weeks.

Our two best young defenders are loaned out and currently playing at the top of league 1. Can they be recalled?

No idea whether the Stephens & Turnbull loan deals have recall clauses - I don't imagine the club envisaged a situation where we might be without 3 of our main CBs.

Wanyama would be a good shout and, with Cork coming back (and Schneiderlin hopefully staying put, for now anyway), we might not miss his presence in CM too much..

Great shame. As I have said on other posts, the man is class. However, I don't see a problem so long as Gardos and Fonte stay fit and hopefully avoid suspensions. But it does leave us walking a tightrope. It wouldn't surprise me if we brought in someone on loan as cover.
