Surely we played them around the turn of the millennium, when the presence of Deano in the side enabed us to get to the final.
Was one of the two legs not at Highbury?
Thought some of you might like to see the team line ups when we last played Arsenal in the Youth Cup.
Was a 5th round replay played at Highbury on 5th April 1988. Good level of support turned up for the Alex.
Unfortunately we were outplayed and I think the final score was 5-1 with Kevin Campbell outstanding for the Gunners.

Confused. Alas, we've never been in an FA Youth Cup final VDP.
I didn't go the away game against Arsenal but I was at Gresty Road for the home game (ending 1-1). As I remember it, we had a bigger crowd for that game than for most league fixtures.
If memory serves me correct I think the gate was around the 3,000 mark

I thought the crowd was around the 4.5k mark myself. But it was a long, long time ago...
The tie was indeed played in 1988. See link. - view external link
