can we turn a negative into a positive?

Yesterday's game we put in a decent performance(via Dan's report)and result to match.
Can we continue it against watford(draw all the way)as really only a win will do
But ultimately can we shift our performances in the league from very poor(past 2 months)to good(yesterday)
This needs 2 things to happen consistency in individual and team performance and Gary bowyer picking an 11 and sticking to it
I know sometimes changes are forced but only then should he change.
Constant tinkering leads to up and down form in players
Yesterdays team showed promise so stick with it even if that means hanley playing every week.

To be fair, he changed things yesterday, and it worked. People only have a problem with the changing of players if we don't get a positive result. Look at this board, something I know Auks will agree with me on. We win, things go well, suddenly this place goes eerily quiet. And same with places like BRFC's. If there is nothing to moan about, most won't find anything positive to say. That's my main issue.

But that said, having been one of Bowyers biggest supporters since he took over the impossible job he was given. But of late I began to think he was getting undefendable. And I was also getting disenchanted. What I'll never buy into is 'every win we have ever gotten under GB has been a fluke' which is a comment I saw here last week. It's okay all fans acting the big one every week, picking a virtual team without any pressure, but we know nothing, don't see players train etc etc. I was wrong last week in panning the signing of Spearing, before he had liked a ball. That's as mental as

Personally I think its disgraceful that Hanley is playing (instead of Duffy or even Baptiste)considering his lack of decent performances all season...but GB obviously doesnt want to ruffle his feathers with him being the captain???and all...maybe Spearing can bring some much-needed protection to the back-four as only Williamson seems capable of this at present.

Dont accept we should lower expectations. Thats like saying we dont want promotion cos we dont want to be beaten 5-0 in some games!

It didnt stop Burnley going up when they were favourites to go down instead.Yes they got pounded away at West.Brom this season but thats only one result.

Being beaten before you start makes no sense.Bradford City wouldnt have beaten Chelsea thinking like that(actually pounding them with stunning goals)where a former Rovers striker Jon Stead gave Chelsea a caning.
Sometimes its not even about money or a gulf in class but a positive mental attitude.

But Burnley looked awful yesterday vrs a woefully poor Sunderland side. They looked awful against Palace. Other than a very very short run where they picked up a couple of points, they look exactly what they are. Miles off being good enough. As are Liecester as are QPR. It took Pearson and Liecester 10 years to go up out of our league. And after one

I do agree Burnley will invest zero pence in their playing staff...not sure they are coming back down though, they have a much better end-of-season run-in than most of the other bottom clubs not having to play ANY of the top clubs ,so in theory the fixture list could work to their advantage. We shall see.

Not too sure playing the top sides is their problem. They seem to be losing to most of the sides around them. I wouldn't get lulled into that manager talking a good game. He did that yesterday, I thought they looked awful. Same with when they played Palace. He talked a good game then aswell. If they stop up, they'll need to figure out how to get results away at the likes of Sunderland and West Brom. Thus far they don't look close to figuring that out. If he's any good I'm sure he'll figure it out, and stop talking about it, and do it.

    Champs
I really do respect and value your opinions however to say we don't want to go up I really do not agree on
Playing squad wise yes we will get royally **** apon
But from a financial viewpoint we are in deep do do and the gitzy lights of the prem offer the finances we need.
Do I feel we will get there?not a cat in hells chance but we need to mount the best possible challenge and with constant team tinkering it will not help the situation
I want Gary bowyer to succeed and with a solid 11 we will have a chance.
