    Deep breath time...again

Having turned 72 last week, I am, to say the least of it, conscious of the importance of time. One of the awkward features of time is that, unlike nearly everything else, you can't get it back once it's gone. So there's no point in dwelling on matches / defeats that have gone. We have to look ahead. Whether or not we deserve it, we still have a route to redemption. Our new guys have three exceptionally big games coming up. For the ump****th time - this season alone! - we need to get behind the club and urge them on. If IB can get us organised into a team, we have, even beyond those three home games, chances of points. Only Aberdeen are stronger than they were; most clubs have lost good players. It can be done.

Not as experienced as yourself but being in my 50s i also think differently to most as i can see a way out of this situation. A month ago i would have said no but bit by bit we are getting some parts right. We now have a keeper that will command his box we have a midfield as in grant and pearo(when fit) that is mobile and people upfront as in johnson.thomas x 2 and moore who can buzz around sutton and hopefully create chances. The final part of the jigsaw is our horrendous defending and if we can sort that out we will start winning games but until i see these new guys next 3 games i will hold total judgement but i am expecting a mush better tempo for a start on saturday and hope fans come out to support them as they can also help us through this. The saving grace is we have been pants for 25 games yet still in touch with teams around us so if we get it right from now on in then we will be safe and i expect us to do that.

3 of the most sensible and reasoned posts I have seen on here for a long time, especially compared to the hysterical ramblings of some.

We ARE in the grubber no doubt but everyone who professes to be a Well fan should be at the games where possible and right behind them from now till the end of the season. (or do some really want us to go down so they can come on here and slag off the so called 'happy clappies' by saying they were right all along ), while some whistle a happy tune on their way to the bookies?...only asking!

Well said. I wish we had more fans like you lot. Staying away and constantly slagging the club from top to bottom will never work. Weve all been here before so time to do everything we can!

Like Dalziel High I am in my 70's. Seen it all before. Will support the 'Well and go to see the 'Well no matter what. Been there before. By the way, Daziel High, I think I sat beside you at Morecambe last year - 2 supporters from D&G?

A rallying call for all young and old 'Well' fans to get right behind the team in the next three home games and lets make some noise and wear our colours to show the club and the players our loyal support.IMO we can survive this season and I know the majority of fans think the same so 'COME ON THE WELL'

Sir - deep respect re your faithfull duty, and committment to the cause over many, many years. In comparison, I'm but a whipper-snapper (1 generation down). However, I'm not so sure we'll escape this downward spiral we've got ourselves into and, contrary to others opinions, it gives me no pleasure to say that.
Fingers x'd we'll come good the next game.
