    Matt Murray.

An absolute bloody travesty that he never had the career he deserved.

Second only to Peter Knowles on the "If Only" list...

    Bollux.

Never even thought of Ted Farmer.

    That was pretty naive.

Sheffield Wednesday's Derek Dooley succumbed to roughly the same problem a couple of years earlier?

Maybe wrong but it rings a bell.

Ted resonated with me stood over Bert Trautmann in 61 and called him a cheat after what most Wolves fans consider a carve up !!

Why was Bert Trautmann called a cheat? I haven't heard this story.

Wolves had completed the 59/60 season before Manchester City played Burnley. Burnley had to win to pip Wolves to the title by a point. Burnley won 1-2. Trautman gifted them their first goal and perhaps played a part in their winner.

Had Wolves won the title that year it would have been the third on the trot. The following Saturday Wolves won the F.A. Cup. We would have been the first club since Preston in1888 to do 'The Double'.
