    World Cup under-16 final 1989

    Was anyone else at this?

    V Saudi Arabia

Brilliant atmosphere over 50,000 fans at Hampden but lost to penalties in the end unfairly.

The opposition had a giant goalkeeper with plenty facial hair as did many of their over-aged players.

    Still a great day though.

I can't quite remember but I'm positive I was at the semi-final against Portugal and it was absolutely crammed at Tynecastle.

    Ahhh memories

You're not sure whether you were at a semi final at a packed Tynecastle or not?

Were u at tynecastle in the 80s.

Not the most memorable place .

And I went to quite a few Scotland games and tynecastle a few times.

Just can't remember an under 16 game right now.

Do you remember every single game you have been to or are you young.

A team of twelve year olds should have been capable of beating the Saudi full team never mind their under 16s

Luis Figo played in that semi at Tynecastle

no pigs heads thrown that night
